  1. HOLY SPIRIT DECIDES AND DISTRIBUTES THE GIFTS TO ALL. 1 Cor 12:11

11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

In creation, (Gen 1:26-28) and redemption (Gal 3:28), God endorses equality. Jesus did not discriminate against the company of woman in the circle of His faithful followers. Women sat at His feet and also served along with him. He invested in their dignity and freedom.

Paul’s concept of Church as a body of Christ shows our unity in diversity with regard to gender and race. True fellowship never insists on uniformity but rather celebrates diversity.

We are individually and corporately connected with Christ the head. God wills and sustains the charismatic diversity in the body of Christ. 1 Cor 12:4-6, 11.

Ex. Upper room. Acts 1:14. Acts 2:17, 18

1 Cor 12:12-13; the Holy Spirit energizes the Church without respect for gender, class or racial distinction. Worth wise we all are equal in Christ but not identical.

1 Cor 11:5, Paul is fine with women prophesying or doing spirit filled teaching in the context of the Church.

1 Cor 12:7

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Here, the term each one points to the role of every believer, including women and children.

Eph 4:11-12, 16.

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.

16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Acts 2:17-18

17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
    and they will prophesy.

The job of fivefold ministry is to discover, develop and distribute it for the glory of God. They are basically travelling trainers. Jud 4:4, 5

Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.

She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided.

She lead Israel for 40 years.

How Jesus taught? Mark 3:14

He appointed twelve – designating them Apostles – that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.

First a disciple and then a send out one. First learn character of Jesus and then be a representative of Jesus.

2 Tim 2:1, 2; Four generation disciples. Paul – Timothy – reliable men – others.

Each one teach one, Was the mantra in many Church growth in history and revival.

    1. Eph 5:18-20

Alcohol depressors our minds and transform characters, allowing us to act in ways that are contrary to the will of God.

But the spirit filled life will lead us to speak, sing, thank God and submit to one another. Thus, we will build healthy relationships in our fellowships.

    1. Rom 15:14;

Rom 1:11, 12; Paul has not yet seen them but desire mutual learning when they meet. Paul says, they are full of goodness, spiritual perception and has openness to admonish or teach one another. And he can continue focusing unreached areas. Pro 27:6

  1. GOALS OF TEACHING ONE ANOTHER:

    1. To enable others to grow in the knowledge of and love for God. Phil 1:9-11

    2. To help others to obey and focus God without expecting any earthly rewards. 1 Cor 3:7

    3. To distinguish good from evil and take a stand for goodness and honesty. The result will be peace in the community. Heb 5:14

    4. To grow each one in maturity and build each one in Christ’s love. Col 1:28; Eph 4:16

Every part becomes functional and thereby will have over all growth.
