When the Church prays in Harmony
Scripture: Acts 4:23-37 (MSG)
The main problem of today’s Church is prayerlessness.
THE CHURCH WILL RECOGNIZE THE SUPREME IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER. Vs. 23, 24 (MSG)
There will be spontaneous desire for praying together.
After the report there was no conference organized, but they agonized together in their helpless state.
For all of them, prayer became fundamental.
Our action speaks louder than our voice and noise in crisis time.
THE CHURCH’S MAIN FOCUS WILL BE THE SOVEREIGN LORD. Vs. 24
The Church will turn their eyes away from man and problems to the sovereign Lord who could solve every issue.
When we focus on the Lord, we recognize that ….
He is sovereign. Vs 24, 28
He is the creator.
He is the God who reveals. Vs. 25, 26, 27
He is the God with senses to feel for us and act in behalf of us. Vs. 29
God sees all and waits to intervene and accomplish His will in answer to the prayers of His people.
THE CHURCH’S GREATEST DESIRE WILL BE THE FEARLESS PROCLAMATION OF THE GOSPEL. Vs. 29 (MSG)
They didn’t pray “grant us safety, but they prayed for boldness in sharing the gospel”
THE CHURCH WILL HAVE FAITH TO DEMAND MIRACLES THROUGH JESUS. Vs 30 (NLT)
When the Church prays in harmony miracles really take place.
Acts 8:6 (NLT); crowds listened intently to what Philip had to say because of the miracles he did.
THE CHURCH WILL BE FILLED AGAIN AND AGAIN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. Vs 31(MSG)
Holy Spirit’s shekainah glory of manifested presence will be visible.
Prayer is the key for the continuous revival.
THE CHURCH WILL BECOME AN ARMY OF FIRE BRAND PREACHERS. Vs. 31, 33(MSG)
But the believers who had fled Jerusalem went everywhere preaching the good news about Jesus. Acts 8:4(NLT)
Acts 8:5 Philip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the messiah. (Philip’s four daughters were prophets)
Conviction and conversion became automatic due to Holy Spirit anointed preaching.
THE CHURCH WILL BE FILLED WITH THE GRACE OF GOD. Vs 33(MSG)
And grace was on all of them.
Different types of grace was displayed
The grace of unity. Vs 32
The grace of renunciation. Vs 32
The grace of fellowship Vs 32
The grace of generosity. Vs. 34, 35
