BOAST ABOUT NOTHING BUT THE CROSS
Scripture: Gal 6:14
“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” Gal 6:14 NLT
Jer 9:23,24 Boast in truly knowing and understanding me.
Job 42:7 NLT God became angry with Job’s friends because they never truly understood God in comparison with Job.
Pain and suffering transforms our prayer life and also our understanding about God. Job13:15 “Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him.
God was the centre of Job’s life.
Gal 6:14-16
Cross was central for Christ. At the cross Paul saw 3 crucifixions. We too should have the same vision.

Christ is crucified for us. Gal 3:13,; Gal 4:4-7; Rom 5:8; Rom 8:1
Paul grasped the meaning of two words from this vision: Grace and Mercy
Grace: undeserved favor
GRACE: God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense
By Grace God gives us what we never deserve in life. Rom 8:32
By Mercy God never gives us what we deserve in life. God is gracious and generous. Giving and forgiving is His nature.

We have been crucified with Christ. Gal 2:20
Paul has been crucified with Christ. For him to live is Christ. Because of cross He is eternally obsessed with Christ alone. Gal 5:24 is an easy thing for those who belong to Christ. Rom 12:1,2

Self Indulgence Christianity is a cross denying religion. Someone abuses doesnt mean you should stop using. James 4:1-6 NLT
Few Lessons about God

God is a strict lover. Rom 11:22; Psalm 2:11,12
Ask God for reverent fear. Always be zealous for the fear of God. Delight in the fear of God.

Psalm 139 God is all knowing, ever present and all powerful.

He knows our every need before we ask. Matt6:8 God sees to it.
Provision – Yehovah Jireh

We should focus on God and what He wants. Matt 6:33,34 MSG
All our needs will be taken care of by God.
Phil 4:19 Corinithians are yet to learn what God wants.
